AN INTERVIEW WITH UNWRITTEN LAW SINGER SCOTT RUSSO

( page 2 -continued)

How does it feel to become famous after 10 years of chasing it?

I don’t know I'm not really famous but I’ve kinda been like borderline famous for like four years. It's kinda creepy; you know? It's like: people know more about you than you probably know about yourself. It's kinda weird.

We're so grounded and down to earth though.  Like I have three kids and it's kinda hard for me to be like a 'cocky rock star', cause I'm just not that guy.  I'm a father, and a song writer. I don't even fucking care about any of that stupid famous shit, or any of that.

Well you are all over MTV and TRL with this one though. Even on your web site you have a link where you're asking fans to click you on to TRL.

Yeah, well I don’t have Internet so, I don’t know about all that stuff.

You we're on the Late Late Show, and you got to meet Craig Kilborn, what was that all about?

We're going to do that.

Oh is that what it was?

Yeah all this stuff is just kinda happening right now.  We're all kinda tripping out.

Have you ever done a Late night show?

No we haven’t done any of that.

Well congratulations!

Cool man, thanks; yeah its cool.

Are you guys all still home based down in San Diego?

All of us are still home based. PK our bass player moved up to Hollywood so he’s gotta drive down for practice.

So what’s next, more touring to back the album.

Yeah, were gonna do laps on this record. We’ve toured for two and a half years for the 'Up All Night' record and we imagine this record is gonna take a little bit longer; so I can see us out for about three years now.

Well, uh, predictions: What do you think is going to happen with the band, in say a year?

You know what: it's like a we are truly really superstitions about it, I mean we don’t even talk about it. Things are going so well that its like we don’t wanna jinx anything so we don’t talk about Seeing Red we don’t talk about MTV, we don’t talk about the radio, we don’t talk about any of it. And you know when people ask us to do radio shows or Craig Kilborn its like we'll say yes, but then we won't talk about it.  So we're as interested in being able to see what’s going to happen in one year as every body else. So we're just kinda crusin’ ya know?

That’s a good answer.  Well, who knows?  Maybe a grammy.

Well fuck man, your jinxin’ us already. We don't talk about the 'fight club.'

Well thanks so much. I really appreciate you taking your time.  It's all good.  Best of luck.

Thanks man.
